The Learning Guide provides appropriate support and guidance for each individual young learner in their care. This will be based on personal knowledge of their circumstances, their learning needs, achievements and aspirations. They support the learning of each member of their group, by contributing to academic reports on BAO and setting relevant SMART targets on their Individual Learning Plans, (ILP’s).
The Learning Guides communicate regularly with parent/carers, staff, and outside agencies working closely with the young learner, in order to implement pastoral support where necessary.
They are lead and supported by Year Team Leaders who have overall responsibility for the year group.
