We believe that positive relationships are a crucial part of the work that we do. Many of our learners arrive with a very negative view of both themselves and the adults that they have encountered. We work hard to rebuild their trust and strive to develop positive relationships between young learners and key adults at the Bridge. All learners have a learning guide who acts as a personal tutor. In addition, learners may be assigned a mentor or have one to one work with a learning support assistant.
We structure much of our approach and day with a view to developing and building positive relations with our young learners.
We believe that when this has been achieved our young learners will be ready to learn and will achieve great things.
